In the frame of the KyrMedu project, the coordinators from each consortial partner university meet once in six month in order to discuss the status quo of the project implementation, the problems and challenges and to agree on next steps.
Last week, on 3 - 4, August it was again the goal of the workshop. This time the meeting took place at Naryn State University.
Naryn is the capital of the same named region with a population of more than 30.000 inhabitants. It is located in the high plateau of Tian-Shan mountains and is 315 km south of Bishkek. The Naryn State University is the biggest university in the region and offers study programmes in the fields of agrarian, technical, engineering and pedagogical sciences. There are language centers such as for German, English, Chinese, Japan and French.
The study programme of Health Care Informatics, which has been developed in the frame of the KyrMedu project and approved by the Ministry of education of Kyrgyzstan, is offered at the Agrarian-techncial Faculty. In winter semester of 2017 the study programme was launched with the intake of 13 students. The process of enrolling the students for second year is running until the August 25, 2018.
On the first day of the workshop the coordinators reviewed the project implementation at their universities by presenting the internal reports. This was the basis for the succeeding discussions on the preparation of the study year of 2018/2019. The workshop day was concluded by the opening of the new Teleteaching room, which was co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme. It has been equipped with notebooks, microcontroller plattforms and Software accecoires for the informatics part and with portable measuring devices for blood pressure, heart rate, blood chemistry, blood concentration, pulse and other parameters of the human organism for the medical part of the study programme. This Teleteaching room is set up as the Interface for Informatics and Helath care.
The second day of the wokshop was dedicated to reviewing the action items on development of teaching materials, installation and administration of the plattform and trainings in Moodle, guest lectures and internships and trainings for medical staff of hospitals. The prolongation of the project period was discussed and agreed on.
